Made from recycled silk saris, each skirt is different and each skirt is beautiful. You can give us a range of colors you'd like in the notes section of your order, or you can let us select for you. Delicious to wear, especially in summer, the skirt floats around you in the slightest breeze. One size fits most, from XS to 1XL.
These are lovely Habotai silk scarves, 8"x54", which I hand-dyed myself using a variety of natural & plant dyes. I love the dyeing process - it's always such a magical experience. I never know precisely how each scarf will turn out, and I always am awed by each one. the size of each one is approximately 8"x54", a perfect size for wearing around your neck. One of the things that I love about natural dyes is the color - it's sometimes subltle, sometimes strong, but they all "go" together! You could wear any color scarf with almost any other color & it would complement it beautifully. I also use one of these scarves to wrap each of my decks of tarot cards, too. In my experience, the silk helps to keep them "clear". I don't use runes myself, but if I did, I'd wrap them in silk before placing them in their bag, too.
Pure luxury, each 100% silk camisole is hand-dyed with natural dyes, mostly plants. The colors range from soft gold (onion skin) to deep purple (logwood). Beautiful as a dressy summer blouse, or warm under other clothing in winter. The camisoles have adjustable spaghetti straps & are hip length, to stay tucked in. Machine or hand wash gentle, hang to dry.
Here's a note I received from a woman who ordered one of these camisoles:
" I received my beautiful silk tank. Sarah, it is absolutely beautiful! Thank you. Moonlight, exactly the color and effect of it. Also, you were right abut the size being just right. I wish all my clothes were like this in color and beauty."
Silk Bellydance Veil
This whisper-light silk veil is made to float on the slightest air movement as you dance. Perfect as a sarong, or a summer shawl. I have several which I dyed with plant dyes, and several undyed ones. Our Kundalini Yoga teachers uses an undyed veil as her white headwrap when she teaches class. Select undyed (white) dyed (see list of plants/colors). 45"x108"
An amazingly flattering sundress - princess seams in front give a nice shaping & ties in the back to draw in at the waist. Hand-dyed here at Herbs from the Labyrinth, using traditional open-air, plant-dying techniques. Generously sized.
Long rayon wrap-skirt, dyed with natural dyes
An amazingly flattering skirt - wrap-around style ties in the front or back to draw in at the waist. Hand-dyed by me, using traditional open-air, plant-dying techniques. Rayon is a natural fiber that has the look of cotton and the drape of silk. Undyed fabric is woven in Bali & sewn with cotton thread. Machine wash, hang to dry.
This beautiful design by Susan Baylies is screened onto cotton shirts hand-dyed by Susan, herself. I have several different styles in shades of purples or greens. Choose regular crew-neck t-shirt, scoop neck t-shirt, tank or spaghetti strap. The spaghetti strap shirts are a very stretchy fabric & fit closely. I might not always have every size, style & color combination, but I'll do my best! Make your choice & I'll let you know what choices I have for you if I don't have your exact combination.
handsewn by Christine Marie using a traditional pattern from Belize. A faja is a Mayan belt-style "girdle" designed to support abdominal organs. Worn under the clothes. Select the length that will wrap snuggly around your hips & provide a lifting support to your abdomen.
In the Tibetan tradition, the 108 beads contained in a mala represent sacred cycles of the cosmos and the 10,800 breaths we take in each day. The beads are used as a way of "counting" your prayers or mantras. These gemstone malas are made by hand in an ashram in India. Can be worn around your neck, wrapped around your wrist, or carried in a special pouch.
