RITES OF
PASSAGE
A class in
the Reclaiming Tradition
Cultures
across the world celebrate their own Rites of Passage to mark important stages
and events in the lives of individuals. This core class in the Reclaiming
Tradition will use pairs and group trance, dreams, myth, storytelling and ritual
to step into the mystery and explore personal change, healing and
transformation. Supported by guides and allies, tracing the otherworld route to
our own places of power, we will move in and out of trance and dream states to
explore and deepen our understanding of the process by which we change, as we
each become the main character in our own myth. We will learn and use powerful
techniques of focusing and directing attention to further deepen our initiatory
experience together. The class will culminate with ceremonies honoring our
transformation. Class facilitated by Sarah Preston Campbell and Jen Frey.

grow within that practice.

empowering yourself to act in the world. Practice magic by working
with the Elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. Techniques
include drumming, singing, sacred dance, breath work, visualization,
sensing, projecting and raising energy, chanting, trance work, creating
magical space, spell crafting, and structuring meaningful ritual. We
hope to provide a nurturing environment for all participants.

The Spiral Dance by
Starhawk. The book is available on this web site, or at Radiance, 9
W Grant St. Please be committed to attending all 6 classes. Cost is on a sliding scale of $185 to $155,

travel about an hour each way to facilitate a presentation. Contact me to make arrangements.

MOTHER EARTH HARVEST
FAIRE Sunday,
October 3, 2010, Glen Rock, PA
This is the 5th annual Harvest festival at the site of
the well-known Spoutwood Faerie Festival. The Mother Earth Harvest
Faire celebrates the spirit of the Fall season and Autumnal Equinox, one of
two points in the year where the length of day equals the length of night.
The Fair celebrates healthy people working for and enjoying a healthy
planet. Partly we pay tribute to the simple traditions and values of harvest
festivals of the past where apples are pressed into cider, garden and farm
bounty is proudly displayed, and the animals used to plow our fields or to
clothe and nourish us are lavishly appreciated. In the spirit of good
old-fashioned fun we'll have country dancing in the big barn, lots of other
music and storytelling, harvest craft activities for kids, a Mother Earth
Nature Poetry Marathon, good food for all tastes and natural and folk crafts
to marvel and delight.

and contemplation, storytelling, the labyrinth, altar-building and
art-making to connect to and deepen this vision.
Held at the Murray Grove Conference Center in Lanoka harbor, NJ, and
sponsored by Women & Religion of the Joseph
Priestley District of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
