Absinthe Liquor Kit It's interesting - in Europe Absinthe is still readily available at wine & cordial stores. The problem we are (only vaguely) aware of in this country came during the late 1800's when the artistic community in France made a habit of drinking it all evening, every evening. They were convinced that their creativity was deeply enhanced. That might have been true, but they went WAY overboard in their consumption. It's a lovely, herbal cordial, meant for occasional moderate consumption. This kit contains all of the herbs you'll need to make a batch of Absinthe, the lovely Wormwood-based cordial of yore. Comes with a wide-mouth quart-sized canning jar. All you need is rum and two weeks worth of patience. Ingredients: Wormwood, Star Anise, White Sage, Spearmint, Coriander seed, Caraway seed, Cardamom pods. Instructions included. |
