Valerian root (Valeriana officinalis) very helpful relaxing nervine, Valerian is my favorite sleep aid. I use a tincture whenever I travel, since I never sleep well away from home. Valerian is also a good anti-spasmotic & is great for relief of intestinal and muscle cramping. Some people think it smells like dirty sweat socks; cats tend to love it. I love the earthy scent!
