Mugwort Moon Magic with Sarah Preston
June 6 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm$30 – $35
Mugwort, (Artemesia vulgaris), is named for the moon goddess, Artemis. Long used for dream enhancement, Mugwort is also a traditional prayer plant, sacred to the element of Fire.
Join Sarah in the garden for this afternoon class on the full moon in Sagittarius. Deepen your relationship to this magical plant. We will meet the plant spirit in meditation, harvest respectfully, tie smudge sticks, start an oil infusion, and sip a Dreamtime tea. There will be a limited number of relevant herbal products available for sale. Each participant will take home the smudge bundle they have tied.
Cost for this afternoon workshop with Sarah is $30, $35 on the day of the class.
To register, call Radiance at 717-290-1517, or stop by the shop at 13 W. Grant St, in downtown Lancaster, right across the bricks from Central Market.
This experiential class will be held in the Herbs from the Labyrinth gardens, 1053 Wheatland Avenue, Lancaster. Wear clothes to be comfortable sitting outside, on the ground if that is a possibility for your body.
Sarah Preston is a community herbalist in Lancaster, PA, and is owner of Radiance and Herbs from the Labyrinth, LLC. She says, “Being an herbalist is a natural extension of my life-long love of plants, trees and wild places, and my interest in natural healing, which was instilled in me by my mother. I see herbalism as a lifelong learning process. My spirituality deeply informs my work with herbs, just as my work with herbs informs my spirituality. I see the Earth as the living body of the Goddess, and all living beings as parts of her body”.
