Yoga Nidra with Tasha Goldberg
September 21, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$15 – $20
Let go of what you think meditation is....and join me in a journey of what meditation feels like. Allow meditation to be a dance of consciousness. Choose to be open to an experience of embodying your truth, happiness and freedom. When we recognize the freedom we have…perhaps we would have the courage to create the life we want…for ourselves as well as for the land, the animals, our friends and family and our collective future.
Yoga Nidra meditation braids together awareness, using all levels of consciousness to engage us more deeply into the present moment. In a state of deep relaxation, there is a union derived from the tantras. In a deepened state of relaxation of the physical, emotional and mental planes, with only two doors of perception open, that of hearing and feeling, receptivity is enhanced and we are able to circulate our consciousness throughout the body. Movement of our prana and breath, as well as our ‘sankalpa’ or resolution, becomes a practice in embodying the feelings and sensations of our truth and moving this intelligence throughout our body. Yoga Nidra creates a sacred union, activating intuition and inspiration.
Remember, the practice, the tools themselves…are not the meditation. The meditation is the space you arrive at where your different levels of consciousness are braided together into an awareness that is focused…without concentration. Detached and yet completely embodied. And the best part? It feels so good to be awake and fully grounded in our own selves.
We will gather in the classroom at Radiance, 9 W Grant St., in the heart of downtown Lancaster, PA. Bring your journal, water for drinking, and wear layers of loose comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket so that you can be warm and cozy.
Tasha says, “I have been practicing Yoga Nidra for around 4 years. I am fascinated by the powerful experience of embodying my own energy. Yoga Nidra has taught me to explore my consciousness, move my prana or life force, and devote myself to building my own empowered foundation. Let’s experience the dance of consciousness through the art and practice of meditation.”
Cost for this meditation class is $15 in advance, $20 on the day of the class. Call Radiance, or stop in to register. 717-290-1517
