Learn Yoni Yoga with Alaina Salks, Certified Tantric Practitioner

Join us for this one and a half hour workshop where we’ll explore the pelvic floor, learn to use Yoni eggs and learn a series of seven Yoni Yoga exercises that you can do at home!

Yoni Yoga is a set of pelvic floor exercises that increase the strength, tone and flexibility of the pelvic floor muscles.  These muscles work with the abdominal (tummy) and back muscles to support the spine and control the pressure inside the abdomen. When contracted they support the organs.  Strong pelvic floor muscles give us control over the function of the bladder and the bowels and they increase orgasmic sensation.

The pelvic floor rhythmically contracts during orgasm, and studies have a shown a correlation between a healthy pelvic floor and increased orgasmic capacity, libido and arousal. Additionally, pelvic floor exercises can increase the vagina’s ability to produce lubricant and can be especially helpful for menopausal and post-menopausal women.

Rose quartz, and green Jade  yoni eggs are available for purchase at Radiance.  Workshop participants will receive a 20% discount on yoni eggs.  Come early to purchase yours and we will talk about the proper stringing, cleaning and insertion of yoni eggs and balls. Have your own? Feel free to come with them in! Yoni Yoga can be practiced without the use of yoni eggs or balls, but can be more effective when the vaginal muscles have an object to “grab.”

Cost for this women-only class is $20 in advance, $25 after April 25.  Held in the classroom at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, in the heart of downtown Lancaster.  To register, stop in or call 717-290-1517.

*No sexual acts will be performed in class. No nudity.

Stones in a Path: Artist Reception with Robert Rhodes

Stones in a Path:
Pictures from a Lost World
by Robert Rhodes

Radiance, 9 West Grant St, Lancaster, PA, near Lancaster Central Market.
Beginning February 14, 2018 and continuing through Spring

From the artist:

A rotating selection of oil paintings on canvas and wood that I've been reworking and painting over, in some cases over a period of several years. All have been experiments in color, composition and technique, leading from one picture to another. A friend, a photographer and art historian originally from Austria, described these pictures in her native German as "Trittsteine," or "stepping stones," which to me seemed a significant metaphor for these paintings and how they were made.

Celtic Reiki, Level 1 with David Painter

Enhance your Reiki practice with Celtic Reiki!

Celtic Reiki is a form of holistic therapy that helps connect you to the natural world around you. In the same way as a stroll through a forest, or a day at the beach can refresh, relax, and invigorate, Celtic Reiki philosophy recognizes that by reconnecting to the Earth we can improve our health and sense of well-being. Life, especially in large towns or cities, can disconnect us from nature. We feel separate or distinct from the world and the cycles of life. Many of the innate sensory and perceptive skills we possess have become atrophied, whilst our species has become very disrespectful of home, ourselves, and the very things we need to survive, such as air, water, and a stable environment.

By shifting our perspective to one more akin with Reiki, we experience the subtle, yet extraordinary wisdom and power of this life-force. Celtic Reiki practice uses this expanded awareness to shift us towards the natural world.

The Celtic Reiki method was pioneered by Martyn Pentecost, a British therapist and personal development mentor. Initially taking the approach of forming a synthesis between Reiki practice and Celtic philosophy, the system used 18 original essences (the vibrations of trees) and a handful of methods derived from Usui Reiki practice.

In this class, we will work with the first nine Ogham symbols and their trees:  Silver fir, Birch, Hawthorn, Beech, Aspen, Heather, Gorse, Broom, and Alder.  Each participant will have opportunities to increase intuition and therefore their capacity to work with these healing energies, both for ourselves and others.  Each participant will receive an attunement to Level 1 of Celtic Reiki.

Pre-requisite is attunement to Usui Reiki levels 1 & 2.  We will not be taking time to review the Usui system of Reiki.

Class will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St., in the heart of downtown Lancaster, PA.  Call 717-290-1517, or stop in to register.  Cost is $90 in advance, $100 on the day of the class if there is space available.

Bring water to drink, and your journal.  Please eat lunch before coming to class.  There will be a snack break, but not a lunch break.  Dress in layers, and for comfort.  You might even consider bringing slippers!

Personal Tarot Readings with Tasha Goldberg

Tarot Sessions with Tasha are most like standing over a tranquil pond of water, tracing the reflections.

The beautiful images from the Motherpeace Tarot cards articulate the rhythms, patterns and poetics of the elements we all reside in. Each card draws from universal truths as seen in various carvings, drawings and sculptures through a global kaleidoscope of art and culture. Within the narrow palette of earth, air, fire and water … a poetry emerges, braiding together different ways of knowing.
Through the lace of human consciousness and expression of the poetics of nature, we are able to provide a platform for empowerment. Knowledge of self is a foundation for respect and flow. Stay tuned, keep your vibrations steady and high so you can be the embodiment of what you believe is possible. The seed of observation provides a platform for empowered choices.
If you are seeking a reflective moment, if you are embracing new truths, if you are being challenged…here is an invitation for you. The Tarot sessions provide space to reflect and welcome in daily rituals. Each session provides insights to support one on the path of happy humanhood. All sessions can be recorded and result in the creation of a ritual and practice to take home to embody new understandings.
Tasha can also create a custom flower essence for you to support the reflections in your reading. Flower essences hold space, combing through emotional knots with soothing vibrational frequencies. The essences of various flowers, trees, and gemstones distilled into formulas are used as touchstones, returning us to our intention. Flower essences build a bridge, attuning us to the natural world, as well as our internal ecology.
Readings will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, in the heart of downtown Lancaster. Call 717-290-1517 for an appointment, or take your chances and drop in! Cost of a reading is on a sliding scale. The range for an hour and a quarter reading is $60-95. Flower essences are an additional charge.
A little about Tasha…
Reading the Motherpeace Tarot cards has been part of my journey since I first become a woman, a gift given to me from my mother. I have used these cards in my own meditations for years, studying the art and culture that inspired the symbols and images. As a consultant of ethnobotany, a cultural practitioner and a reporter for the United Nations, I have been fortunate to travel the world. I founded Sustainable Solutions in 2004 with the goal of implementing strategic sustainability programs globally and maintaining an active voice in the ongoing planetary dialogue of sustainable development. Through my world travels and engagement with communities, governments, businesses, scientists, elders and artists, I have begun to archive the connections that exist through the Building Bridges programs, focusing on the art of storytelling to bind together truth across borders. Each and every experience I have had has deepened my appreciation of the Motherpeace Tarot by broadening my sensual awareness of the world around me and within me. I have read cards for children, elders, celebrities, scientists, friends, family and strangers. I continue to return to the Motherpeace deck daily.

Yoga Nidra Meditation with Tasha Goldberg

As the world around us ripens and blossoms with the fullness of Spring , we too …. we have an invitation to pass through a portal. This portal gives us permission to pass from what we have been, and into what we are becoming. The practice of Yoga Nidra meditation is a foundation to create intentional freedom.

Erase from your mind what you think meditation is....and join me in a journey of what meditation feels like. Allow meditation to be an adventure, a journey into consciousness. I have often heard of meditation described as ‘a silencing of the mind’, or ‘shutting down the outside’. Somehow that does not inspire me. It is like the feeling when as soon as you start a diet, you crave the gooiest banana split with extra hot fudge. Remember, the practice, the tools themselves…are not the meditation. The meditation is the space you arrive at where your different levels of consciousness are braided together into an awareness that is focused…without concentration. Detached and yet completely embodied.

Tasha’s approach through Yoga Nidra is to engage all parts of ourselves. Yoga Nidra uses all levels of consciousness to engage us more deeply into the present moment. In a state of deep relaxation, there is a union derived from the tantras. With only two doors of perception open, that of hearing and feeling, receptivity is enhanced and we are able to circulate our consciousness throughout the body. Movement of our prana and breath as well as and our ‘sankalpa’ or resolution, becomes a practice in embodying the feelings and sensations of our truth and moving this intelligence throughout our body. Yoga Nidra creates a sacred union, activating intuition and inspiration.

We will gather in the classroom at Radiance, 9 W Grant St., in the heart of downtown Lancaster, PA.  Bring your journal, water for drinking, and wear layers of loose comfortable clothing. Be prepared to lie on a yoga mat.  Feel free to bring pillows and blankets so that you can be warm and cozy.

Meditation, Sacred Practice, and Reflection: a workshop with Tasha Goldberg

As Spring reveals itself in soft hues of green and palettes of blossoms, we often feel a natural urge to begin cleaning and clearing, literally and metaphorically, to make room for the emerging of our own new garden.  As we make our way through our personal evolution, there is always the option to retreat in the warmth of our intimate connection with nature’s cycles.  Join us for an afternoon of ritual incorporating the traditions of Ho’oponopono from Hawai’i, Yoga Nidra meditation, and Motherpeace tarot as tools for reflection and clarity.

Do not worry if you feel shy about being part of a group, or are new to participating in ritual.  The evening’s ritual will be shaped with sacred intent, bringing us together to create space for each of us to do our own personal work.  We will actively engage in exercises simultaneously, but in the privacy of our own experience.  Each person will leave the evening enriched, as well has having gained a new set of practices for continuing engagement.

Each person will be gifted a guide for continuing these practices that will include:

A recording of a guided meditation based on Yoga Nidra
Several scripts to use to help you record your own voice for guided meditations
Reference materials to continue study of Motherpeace tarot
Step-by-step guide to utilizing the Ho’oponopono tradition in self-exploration

A curated selection of flower essences will be made available for additional purchase.

Bring your journal, your Motherpeace tarot deck, water for drinking, and wear layers of loose comfortable clothing. Be prepared to lie on a yoga mat.  Feel free to bring pillows and blankets so that you can be warm and cozy. Class will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, in the heart of downtown Lancaster.  Stop in or call 717-290-1517 to register.  Cost is $35 in advance, $40 on the day of class.  Motherpeace tarot decks, related books, and other items are always available for sale at Radiance.
