Tarot Readings with Tasha Goldberg

Tarot Sessions with Tasha are most like standing over a tranquil pond of water, tracing the reflections.

by appointment or drop-in
The beautiful images from the Motherpeace Tarot cards articulate the rhythms, patterns and poetics of the elements we all reside in. Each card draws from universal truths as seen in various carvings, drawings and sculptures through a global kaleidoscope of art and culture. Within the narrow palette of earth, air, fire and water … a poetry emerges, braiding together different ways of knowing.
Through the lace of human consciousness and expression of the poetics of nature, we are able to provide a platform for empowerment. Knowledge of self is a foundation for respect and flow. Stay tuned, keep your vibrations steady and high so you can be the embodiment of what you believe is possible. The seed of observation provides a platform for empowered choices.
If you are seeking a reflective moment, if you are embracing new truths, if you are being challenged…here is an invitation for you. The Tarot sessions provide space to reflect and welcome in daily rituals. Each session provides insights to support one on the path of happy humanhood. All sessions can be recorded and result in the creation of a ritual and practice to take home to embody new understandings.
Tasha can also create a custom flower essence for you to support the reflections in your reading. Flower essences hold space, combing through emotional knots with soothing vibrational frequencies. The essences of various flowers, trees, and gemstones distilled into formulas are used as touchstones, returning us to our intention. Flower essences build a bridge, attuning us to the natural world, as well as our internal ecology.
Readings will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, in the heart of downtown Lancaster. Call 717-290-1517 for an appointment, or take your chances and drop in! Cost of a reading is on a sliding scale. An hour and a quarter or hour and a half reading $60-75. Flower essences are an additional charge.
A little about Tasha…
Reading the Motherpeace Tarot cards has been part of my journey since I first become a woman, a gift given to me from my mother. I have used these cards in my own meditations for years, studying the art and culture that inspired the symbols and images. As a consultant of ethnobotany, a cultural practitioner and a reporter for the United Nations, I have been fortunate to travel the world. I founded Sustainable Solutions in 2004 with the goal of implementing strategic sustainability programs globally and maintaining an active voice in the ongoing planetary dialogue of sustainable development. Through my world travels and engagement with communities, governments, businesses, scientists, elders and artists, I have begun to archive the connections that exist through the Building Bridges programs, focusing on the art of storytelling to bind together truth across borders. Each and every experience I have had has deepened my appreciation of the Motherpeace Tarot by broadening my sensual awareness of the world around me and within me. I have read cards for children, elders, celebrities, scientists, friends, family and strangers. I continue to return to the Motherpeace deck daily.

Springtime Sparkles: Faery Hair and Henna Tattoos

Henna is an ancient, mostly feminine, tradition from India, Africa and the Middle East. Many ceremonies have developed around the painting of henna on the skin. Special occasions are accented with the tradition of mehndi, weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and more.  Henna body art is more than painting a pretty design on your skin; it serves as a time to relax, slow down and feel beautiful. It is also a time for women to gather together to support each other in a sacred way.

Faery Hair is a brand new phenomenon!  A tiny strand of hair tinsel is affixed near the root of one strand of your hair and adds color and sparkle.  Lasts for weeks, or even months if the faeries are smiling on you!

Experience Mehndi at Radiance, 9 W Grant St in downtown Lancaster, across the bricks from Central Market. Individual and group appointments are welcomed for belly blessings, weddings, and everyday celebrations.

Henna appointment times and costs vary according to the size and complexity of each design:

15 minutes - small medallion or wristlet/anklet - $15.00

1/2 hour - simple design: hands, feet, wrist, ankle - $25.00

1 hour - large design: arm, foot-to-knee, etc. - $50.00

Faery Hair Sparkles are $3.00 each, or 7 strands for $20.

Call Radiance at 717-290-1517 to schedule an individual or group appointment!

Alicia Lyter is a trained artist and yoga teacher. MehndiSol is a perfect meld of the two sensibilities, “adornment for the body, nourishment for the Sol”. She has traveled to India & experienced traditional Mehndi while there.  She says, “I have always been intrigued by the intricate art of Mehndi.  I love the practice of women adorning each other, and all the healing aspects associated with the craft.”

As She Is: a screening with filmmaker Megan McFeely

As She Is, a timely and hauntingly beautiful documentary which explores how masculine drive and individualism can give way to feminine relation and belonging – and redress a human world so out of balance.  Simultaneously activist and contemplative, this film offers a compelling look at the radical truth that our individual happiness and our very chances at human survival depend upon receptive, connective, life-giving feminine strengths.

This is about a woman’s real quest into the unconscious to claim what was missing… to integrate the masculine with the feminine and give birth to herself.  This film examines the roots of our current cultural crisis and reveals the power of the individual to influence the whole.

Join us for this very special evening. We will view this 45 minute film together and then have a discussion with filmmaker Megan McFeely.

Everyone is welcome. Call Radiance (717-290-1517), or stop in to register. The cost is $13 per person in advance, $15 on the day of the showing.  20% of proceeds will be donated to Full Circle Susquehanna, Inc., a 501c3 organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and girls.  The event will be held in the classroom at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, across the brick walkway from Central Market in downtown Lancaster, PA.

Megan McFeely follows the path of Sufism and has been on a journey towards what is natural, essential and authentic for most of her life.  The question, “Who are we as human beings from inside of ourselves?” has been at the center of her inquiry.  She spent more than 25 years providing strategic communications counsel for media and technology companies, authors and non-profit organizations.

Grounded in Gratitude with Sarah Preston

A daily practice in gratitude changes the way we move through the world, opening our perception to the beauty and grace inherent in life. Gratitude touches our hearts in a profound way, helping us to re-member what is truly important.  Grounded in gratitude, we find an inner strength, stability and clarity.

These are challenging times. We can become overwhelmed, outraged, frantic or fearful.  We might even become numb.  All of those responses are valid and rational, but we don’t want to get stuck in those emotional states. We are called to be awake and present and prepared to do our part.

When we remind ourselves of what we love about being alive on earth, we reset our emotional state to a place of grounded strength. We are better able to respond, instead of reacting. Using guided meditation, journaling, and other techniques, Sarah will facilitate this restorative class.

Workshop will be held in the classroom at Radiance, 9 W Grant St., across the brick walkway from Central Market in downtown Lancaster.  Stop in or call to register.  717-290-1517

Cost is $25 in advance, $30 on the day of class.

Bring a cushion if you wish to sit on the floor.  Bring your journal, or something to write on.  Bring water to drink.  Dress in layers, and consider bringing slippers.

Sarah Preston is a community herbalist in Lancaster, PA, and is owner of Herbs from the Labyrinth, LLC., and Radiance. She studied magical activism for many years with Starhawk, and recently become a facilitator of Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects.  She has had a daily Gratitude Practice for many years and looks forward to sharing some of what she’s learned through this process. Her spirituality deeply informs every aspect of her life. She sees the Earth as the living body of the Goddess, and all living beings as parts of Her body.

Cacao Ceremony with Jim Wert and Christel Libiot on Beltane Eve

Facilitated by Jim Wert and Christel Libiot

Sunday, April 30 - 4-7 pm

Radiance, 9 W Grant St, Lancaster, PA 17603

(717) 290-1517 or stop in to register

$25.00 per person offering

Bring your journal, water bottle and what you need to be comfortable, as well as an item for the Beltane altar which we will create together.

Past ceremonies have included meditation, guided visualization,

singing, breath-work, toning, sharing in circle, music, dance and more.

On the eve of Beltane, let’s Celebrate Life to the fullest with Ceremonial-grade Cacao.  Earth energies are at their strongest and most active, and all of life is bursting with potent fertility.  How appropriate that one of Cacao’s main active ingredients is Theobromine (literally God-food), which facilitates the release of dopamine, the “pleasure” hormone.

This day brings the opportunity to celebrate both the sacred feminine and the sacred masculine energies of the universe.  The Cacao energy, known as Ixcacao, is often experienced as feminine Shakti energy – life-giving, nourishing and energizing.  The sacred Cacao bean was also associated with Xochiquetzal, an Aztec fertility maiden associated with love, beauty, childbirth, feminine sexual power and female crafts.

Supported by the amazing physical and spiritual aspects of Cacao, we will gather in ceremony, create a Beltane altar together, honor the creative energies of this holiday, and celebrate the Goddess in all of us.  “Food for the Shift”, cacao acts as fuel for our spiritual evolution by helping us find joy in our hearts, release old pain, and tune into the messages of the soul.

Ceremonial Cacao is provided to you by Christel Libiot and Jim Wert, both with vast experience and knowledge of healing practices.  They have led numerous Cacao Ceremonies in the Mid-Atlantic and have a global following.  Christel and Jim have together and individually led many Circles, workshops, trainings and ceremonies, and bring decades of experience to this work.
